  • The Maya Exploration Center

    The Maya Exploration Center is an education and research non-profit with continuous presence in Palenque, Chiapas. They have programs all year round that run all over the Maya world and at specific dates. They bring college groups down for travel courses about 12 times a year.   • Michigan State University’s Programs in Chiapas

    Michigan State University has continuous contact with several collaborators and their institutions in Chiapas: ECOSUR, CIESAS, INIFAP and UNACH. This field course, a collaboration with Cornell University, is an annual event (previously operated in Yucatán, Tabasco and Veracruz), and has involved students from Mexican universities.   • New DS-160 Electronic Visa Application Takes Effect

    Mexico City – Effective January 20, 2010, individuals applying for a non-immigrant visa at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico will be required to submit a new application form, known as the DS-160 Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application. The U.S. Department of State developed this new application with a view toward streamlining and simplifying the process for applicants, as well as offering greater privacy protection for applicants.
