Federal Benefits Re-Introduces Toll-Free Telephone Number

The Federal Benefits Unit (Mexico City Region) initiated an aggressive campaign to re-advertise the Mexico Toll-Free telephone number: (01) (800) 7-72-63-94
Posters advertising the number will be distributed to the nine U.S. Consulates and to each of the thirteen U.S. Consular agents throughout Mexico. Furthermore, the Virtual Presence Posts El Bajio and Chiapas & Tabasco will be advertising this Toll-Free telephone number among their audience as well. The posters are in both English and Spanish and will soon be distributed to all Mexican state and local agencies that deal with U.S. federal benefits.
The Mexico Toll-Free telephone number was inaugurated during September 2009. Federal Benefits and Social Security clients in Mexico have the option to connect directly with the 3 Mexico Federal Benefits Mexico Units without the need to navigate through the Embassy’s or Consulate’s switchboard. This service is operational
Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 2:00pm
The Caller’s location will determine the call’s routing destination between the Mexico City, Guadalajara or Ciudad Juarez FBUs. To-date, the average number of calls per month is 7,300.
